SUPPORT A GREATER CAUSE: EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION

The Women In Racing event is not only a celebration of achievement- it’s also an opportunity to make a difference.

We are honoured to welcome The Hon Tim Bull MP, Shadow Minister for Racing and Sports, who will speak on behalf of the Arthur Grassby Foundation - an organisation committed to empowering young Australians through transformative experiences.

As part of the evening, we’ll hear from two courageous young women who will share their powerful, first-hand accounts of completing the Kokoda Trek. Their stories of personal growth, resilience, and discovery highlight the profound impact that this journey can have on young lives - especially when backed by a supportive community.

In recognition of this vital work, the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club will proudly present a $7,500 donation to the East Gippsland chapter of the Arthur Grassby Foundation. These funds will help future participants access the life-changing Kokoda experience, building confidence, leadership, and lasting bonds.

It’s a moment that embodies the spirit of the night: connection, courage, and the power of collective support.
